Samsung finally sheds some light on the battery issues with Note 8

If you have purchased a Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8 plus in the Microsoft store, you may have been worried about reports that the battery has some issues when deep discharged. While Samsung’s issues with battery is not new, these reports won’t blow your device (we aren’t completely sure though).

Since last week, the reports went from rare to frequent which definitely drew the attention of the Korean giant. The reports pointed out to an issue where the device after the battery had once completely discharged did not turn on again. While deep discharge does sometimes create problems since batteries take longer to recover but they do recover eventually. Unfortunately for Samsung, these reports didn’t stop with Note 8. Users also shared a similar experience with S8 Plus which just make matters worst.

Samsung isn’t silent on the issue though. The company recently shared details with PC World saying:

Of course, Samsung is taking all reports of this kind seriously, we only received a very small number of customer inquiries that could be linked to charge management, and unfortunately we can only comment on the matter further if we have more detailed information about the affected devices. If you have any questions about your device, please contact Samsung Customer Service at 06196 77 555 66 (costs according to the contractual partner’s terms for landline or mobile phone connections.) Service times: Monday to Friday: 8: 00-21: 00 clock, Saturday: 9: 00-17: 00 clock) or under:

While Samsung is still investigating the issue, we do recommend users to make sure that the battery doesn’t die. You can head to the comments section below to let us know if you faced a similar issue with your device.
